Wilmslow is also home to The Green Room Theatre, one of the oldest Amateur Dramatic Societies in the UK, and the Evans Theatre; both of which have a regular programme of shows throughout the year. 

With green open spaces just a short distance from the town centre, there are plenty of places to make the most of the great outdoors. The picturesque Carrs Park, just a short walk  from the center of Wilmslow, is the perfect spot to enjoy peaceful riverside strolls by the river, providing the perfect location to spend a quiet day relaxing and reconnecting with nature.

There are also plenty of other wonderful landmarks to explore close by including Quarry Bank Mill, an historic cotton mill now owned by the National Trust and Jodrell Bank, which houses the largest radio telescope in the UK.

Venture a little further afield and you’ll be rewarded with the delights of the Peak District National Park offering fantastic walks and outstanding countryside and sites to explore. Regular train services to Manchester Piccadilly also make it easy to access Manchester's spectacular array of restaurants, cafes, shops, museums and galleries for those looking to explore the buzz of the city. Manchester Airport is also just a short distance from Wilmslow making international travel a breeze.
