Living in a small village in Norfolk, Pauline was content living in a small network with her trusty canine companions, after her husband passed away in 2012. Fellow dog walkers and locals were her lifeline in staying connected. When she lost her dogs, she realised that living in a later living community would benefit her greatly. “I called Pegasus Homes and they sent me a brochure for Hortsley”. Having never been to Seaford before, Pauline made the visit to explore the local town - “I thought it looked quite nice”.

In May 2018, Pauline became one of the very first residents at our Hortsley community in Seaford. With no prior connections in the area, she quickly discovered that her new neighbours would become her new family. The first 12 residents who moved in bonded over shared dinners and games nights. As more people have joined the community, that spirit of connection has only grown stronger.

"You only have to come downstairs and you’ll find someone to talk to," Pauline explains, highlighting the ease of finding company.

For Pauline, the greatest benefit of living at Hortsley is having a "built-in" network of friends. When asked what advice she'd give to others considering a move, her answer was simple and enthusiastic: "Just go for it! I’ve said this to many a friend of friends!"

There is no better time to make your move to a Pegasus Homes community. We are offering the choice of three incredible incentives to help make your decision a little easier, choose from:
