At Pegasus Homes, we believe that mental wellbeing isn't a luxury, it’s the foundation of a life well-lived, regardless of age. We understand that health is a holistic journey, where a clear mind is just as vital as a strong body. Whether it’s the quiet clarity found during a morning meditation or the surge of energy from a brisk walk in the fresh air running after the grandchildren, these moments of intentionality are what allow our communities to thrive.
Following from the success (and fun!) of our activities over National Walking Month in May last year, both our team and our residents enjoyed the benefits that came from coming together in a shared activity, so we wanted to do something bigger and better this year. We wanted a challenge that would bring the entire Pegasus Homes community together - residents and staff (and four-legged friends!) alike - under one ambitious goal. That is why we are delighted to announce our year-long wellbeing mission: to collectively complete 2,000,000 minutes of physical and mindful activity.

The timeline: The clock started ticking on 1st January 2026, and we will be tracking our progress throughout the entire year, providing updates along the way.

The activities: This isn't just about gym sessions. Whether it’s yoga, walking, swimming, or a peaceful mindfulness session, every minute counts toward our total.

Getting involved: To keep the momentum high, we will be hosting group events and shared activities across all our communities - watch this space!
Why join in?
Beyond the health benefits, we’ve added some friendly competition to the mix. We will be awarding prizes throughout the year for those who clock the most minutes - and yes, that includes pets who join us on our walks!
If we reach our ambitious 2,000,000-minute milestone by the end of December, there may even be a special surprise celebration for the whole community.
