What is the difference between a resale property and a new home?
Resale properties are apartments within a Pegasus Homes community, that have already been purchased by a previous customer, lived in, and loved. If the previous customer decides to move or has sadly passed away, they or their family may appoint the Resales team as their agent and you can purchase the resale apartment from the resales team.
There is no other difference to the design, build or interior specification, and you will still enjoy all of the benefits of living within a Pegasus community that you would if you were to purchase a new home from the developer. As the property would be privately owned however, any purchasing incentives run by Pegasus Homes would not be applicable to a resale.
Our resale properties are sold on a long-term leasehold basis.
Purchasing a resale home with us
Buying a resale apartment with us is very similar to purchasing a brand new apartment from Pegasus Homes, or a property on the open market, but the whole process is assisted by our Resales team. From arranging viewings to negotiating on your behalf directly with the vendors, our team are on hand to support you through the process of finding your new home.

Step One
After you’ve visited one of our communities and consulted with one of our resales advisors, you choose the apartment that best suits your requirements.
- Step Two We’ll discuss your current situation to ensure that living in a Pegasus community is right for you.
- Step Three A memorandum of sale is drawn up and your sale then goes into the hands of your appointed solicitors. We’ve a panel of recommended solicitors who are familiar with Pegasus Homes, and understand the particulars of purchasing our properties. However, you are under no obligation to use them and we do not receive any commission if you do.
- Step Four Our resales advisors will be in contact with you throughout the process to answer any questions you may have, while our in-house progression team liaises with the solicitors to answer any enquiries that may arise.
Renting a resale home with us
When you rent one of our resale homes, you will be offered an Assured Short Term Tenancy, which will be fully managed by our Pegasus Homes Agency Services team on behalf of the owner of the property. Our experienced team is on hand to assist with any maintenance issues you might have, giving you more time and energy to enjoy your home.

Step One

- Step Two We’ll discuss your current situation to ensure that living in a Pegasus community is right for you.
- Step Three We’ll ask for some basic information, including financial details, to make sure that the rent is affordable to you on a long term basis. Once the process is complete, we’ll help you move in on the pre-agreed date.
- Step Four All Assured Short Term tenancies are offered for a minimum of 6 months and run for an agreed fixed term.
