The majority of our Renaissance and Pegasus communities come with their own dedicated Lifehost, whose role it is to make sure our owner’s lives are as stress free as possible.

In this instalment of our Meet the Lifehost series, we chatted with Heather Stead, Lifehost at our Crowthorne community who has been working with us for six months.

Hi Heather, can you tell us a bit about the Crowthorne community?

We have 32 wonderful apartments at Crowthorne and 24 owners currently occupying 16 of them. The whole setting at Crowthorne is really pleasant, and the property looks very grand. The gardens are wonderfully maintained and really brings the whole property together.

Our first owners moved in during December 2019, so things are still relatively new, but we have a lovely sense of community– everybody got to know each other and bonded really well during the lockdown.

Our owners are all very independent and love going out to visit different places in the surrounding area.

What do the owners at Crowthorne like about the community?

Like me, the owners absolutely love the gardens we have here that surround the building. A lot of the owners are keen gardeners themselves, so they have really enjoyed relaxing outside over the summer months especially with this year’s lockdown restrictions.

As our owners are so independent and with the village centre nearby, they really enjoy how accessible it is for getting to local landmarks and amenities such as The Co-Op and Dopson Butcher.

Many have also moved back to the area to be closer to family so the majority of the time they are all out and about enjoying life!

What do you enjoy most about working at Renaissance Crowthorne?

The owners at Crowthorne are such a fantastic bunch, they really make coming into work each day enjoyable. I also really enjoy my commute as, I’m lucky enough to have a glorious drive over from Farnborough.

Each day is also really different which I enjoy! Once I’ve completed all my checks in the morning and walk around to make sure everything and everyone is ok, I usually help resident’s deal with any queries that they have, help with their deliveries or organise things for them.

Often, I’ll just sit down with the residents and have a cup of tea and a chat, catching up on what they’ve been up to.
