Life in Tetbury
Tetbury really is in the middle of everything, with easy access to the rolling Cotswold hills and almost endless miles of public footpaths and walking trails, including the 100-mile-long Cotswold Way. As befits the home of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Highgrove residence, the town is steeped in history, with many fine wool merchants’ houses still gracing the main streets, but it bustles with contemporary shopping and dining options too. There’s always a buzz about the place, with something going on at the Goods Shed Arts Centre or perhaps a guest author reading at the Yellow Lighted Bookshop.
On your doorstep
All conveniences like a post office, pharmacies, and a GP surgery are a short walk or two-minute drive away. Cirencester and Stroud are 15 minutes away by car and nearby Kemble train station takes you to Bristol in under an hour and London in 90 minutes.

"Everything you need is nearby - nice pubs, great restaurants, hotels and a medical centre right in the centre of town. I couldn’t wish for anything better. There is warmth here in the community." Pegasus Homes Resident - Steepleton
"The apartment I find very convenient, it is very well designed from the ergonomic point of view. I really can’t fault it - it’s very comfortable." Pegasus Homes Resident - Steepleton
“We’ve got used to living over two storeys and also having our own individual space. We didn’t want to feel like we were living on top of each other. This space, we find, is much better for two people. You’ve got to still be fit and mobile to use the stairs, but equally we know there is the option to install a lift in later years if we need to.” Pegasus Homes Resident - Steepleton
“Parting with a 3 bedroom house’s worth of belongings is not an easy task, but luckily for the move we used the Aprico service. It was sad to see a lot of our things going to charity but in using Aprico, we didn’t have to physically take it ourselves, which eased the emotional burden a bit!” Pegasus Homes Resident - Steepleton
