“Laughter is brightest in the place where the food is good.”
At Pegasus Homes, we know food is best enjoyed together. Across our communities residents can share great meals, whether that's simply enjoying afternoon tea in the shared lounge or trying some of the best local restaurants in town; togetherness makes every moment more enjoyable. This spring also brought exciting news, with two new restaurant openings across the Pegasus portfolio.
At Belle Vue near Hampstead Heath, we are delighted to welcome Olly and Alex of Brad & Dills, who opened their second Pegasus location in February. Already renowned locally for their excellent bagels and coffee, their arrival has been warmly received by Belle Vue residents, many of whom enjoy dining out regularly. Their full menu launched in March, and there has been plenty of anticipation building for their resident supper clubs, which are already becoming a highlight of the social calendar.
Meanwhile, in Cheltenham, an exciting move has recently taken place as Lee Gallimore relocates his much-loved Montpellier restaurant, Gallimore’s, to One Bayshill Road. This beautiful restaurant space is now home to Lee’s acclaimed cooking, bringing his signature style to residents and the wider community. Known for his popular fish suppers and relaxed yet refined approach to dining, Gallimore’s offers food that is both sophisticated and welcoming, a perfect fit for one of Cheltenham’s most vibrant Pegasus communities. Residents who have long been supporters of Gallimore’s eagerly awaited the March opening following the refurbishment works.
Of course, dining at Pegasus isn’t only about restaurants. Many residents lead wonderfully active social lives, which doesn’t always leave time for meal planning. To make life that little bit easier, four Pegasus communities have recently introduced an in-house frozen meal offering, which has already proved extremely popular. Working with trusted suppliers, including COOK and Bristol based Home2Home, tasting events have been held across several sites. Residents enthusiastically sampled dishes such as fish pie, cottage pie and beef bourguignon; comforting classics designed to deliver restaurant-quality meals at home with minimal effort.
At Steepleton Court in Tetbury, food continues to bring residents together each week. The much-loved Thursday supper club remains a cornerstone of the community’s social calendar, and we are delighted that Berry Blue Catering, a local Stroud based company introduced in February, has already proven to be a fantastic addition. With their fresh approach and locally inspired menus, residents particularly enjoyed St Patrick’s Day in late March which was a wonderful evening of good food, laughter and great company.
Across Pegasus communities, food continues to do what it does best, bringing people together, creating conversation and making everyday moments feel special.
