interior design at Pegasus Winchester Holts

Set in a green and leafy neighbourhood on the western edge of this thriving cathedral city, Winchester Holts offers peaceful, semi-rural living within easy reach of the city's cultural and culinary delights.

With wellbeing at the heart of the Pegasus philosophy, Winchester Holts has been expertly designed to nurture comfort, contentment and wellness. We spoke with Georgina Chamberlain at Park Grove, who created the warm and welcoming interiors of this new community in Winchester.

Could you tell us a bit more about Park Grove?

Established in 1995, Park Grove creates unique and memorable schemes for a wide range of clients within the commercial sector. We believe great interior design has the ability to enhance the quality of people’s lives. We have no prescriptive style. Instead, we interpret the needs of our clients and the style of the property into effortlessly sophisticated, aspirational and high-quality interiors.

What inspired the interior design at our Winchester Holts community?

We drew our inspiration from the contemporary architecture of the building and surrounding areas and of course how the owners and tenants would want to use the spaces. The lounge has a more relaxed daytime feel making the most of the glazed windows and views to the greenery outside. It's a space for a chat over coffee, catching up on the morning papers or entertaining friends and family. In contrast, the Club Room has more of an evening feel with its rich and sumptuous colour palette. Residents can enjoy sundowners on the terrace or cosy up with a glass of wine at the end of the day in one of the leather wing back chairs.

How would you describe the interior of Winchester Holts?

The interior style is classic modern with a fresh colour palette inspired by nature. It’s informal and welcoming in the communal lounge and has a more exclusive, private members feel to the Club Room. Residents who have lived in the area are well travelled and into design, so we have tried to incorporate this into the final look. Book cases have been curated with a range of reading books along with curiosities and games.

What have you enjoyed most about working on this project?

It’s been great to be involved from the beginning of the project where we designed the joinery, layouts and specification of finishes and light fittings, right through to the interior fit-out. This has resulted in a cohesively designed series of spaces that residents will be proud to call home.

What's your favourite aspect of the interior design at Winchester Holts?

I LOVE the wallpaper on the feature wall outside the communal lounge, it’s fun, unique and gives this space the wow factor.

What interior design trends can we expect to see in 2022?

It's all about ceilings and making them bold and interesting; why paint them plain white when you can do so much more?

Any top tips for new owners?

The terrace is a great suntrap, even when we were there in February.
