Pegasus Homes gives you the opportunity to live independently, in your own home, with the added comfort of a friendly community and on-site team should you need them.
We are classified as independent later living and, as such, do not provide any care facilities.
Residents must be able to live independently to enjoy living in our communities and are invited to a meet and greet with our on-site team before they move in, to make sure the move is right for all parties.
If a resident requires high levels of care, we are unlikely to be the right fit and it would be in their best interests to live in a facility where care is readily available and can provide the right levels of support to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
What happens if my circumstances change?
We fully recognise that needs change over time, and additional support may be required to help maintain independence. It is important that residents plan for the future, and although we do not provide care, our Health & Wellbeing team can provide guidance to residents that may require additional support.
Full time or live in care services are generally not permitted in our communities. However, there will also always be exceptions due to extenuating circumstances, which can be considered on a temporary basis, to ensure the comfort of all of our residents.

The on site team
The on site team, or Buildings & Communities Coordinators as we call them, are there to ensure the safe running of our buildings and the wellbeing of the community. Working hours vary depending on the community, but there is usually someone working Monday to Friday during office hours.
Each community has a dedicated Building & Community Coordinator, supported by an experienced Buildings & Communities Manager, with remote emergency support available around the clock, 365 days a year.
Our on-site team is on hand to give you practical help, support and guidance. They also take care of the day-to-day administration and security of the community; they help to organise events and activities, while also making sure all the shared areas are safe, maintained and clean.
The Buildings & Communities Manager is responsible for the building’s finances, its maintenance and arranging specialist safety checks by contractors. They will visit your community regularly to make sure all its residents are enjoying an excellent experience and outstanding service.
The service charge or rental fee covers the costs to maintain and manage the building to a high standard; from insurance to fire safety checks, roof repairs to gardening. The on site team ensures that the building and grounds are well looked after and well maintained, so all you have to do is manage your own property and enjoy your new chapter.
The Health & Wellbeing team
In addition to the on site team, the Health & Wellbeing team cover all Pegasus Homes communities and are there to monitor, promote and support the wellbeing of our residents. With experience in social care, they are well equipped to recognise early indications when people may need a helping hand, and can provide introductions to relevant agencies and bodies to residents and their families when required.
