Pegasus charges no exit fee, no event fee and no deferred management fee. When your home is sold, the proceeds come to you, less the usual selling costs. Not a share of them. All of them.

Your home is held on a long lease of up to 999 years. It is yours to live in, pass on to family or sell privately whenever you choose. When the time comes, our in-house resales team can handle the sale for you.

Buying a Pegasus home takes five steps, from your first visit to collecting the keys. You will find all five below the listing. Service charges explained sets out what you pay each month. If you have a house to sell first, Moving support explains part exchange and the help available.

  • Step One After you’ve visited one of our communities and consulted with one of our sales advisors, you choose the apartment that best suits your requirements.
  • Step Two We’ll discuss your current situation to ensure that living in a Pegasus community is right for you.
  • Step Three A reservation form is drawn up, including all the terms and conditions. Then we ask for a reservation deposit to secure the property.
  • Step Four When we’ve received the completed reservation form and deposit, we can help you appoint a solicitor to act on your behalf. We’ve a panel of recommended solicitors who are familiar with Pegasus Homes, and understand the particulars of purchasing our properties. However, you are under no obligation to use them and we do not receive any commission if you do.

  • Step Five Our sales advisors will be in contact with you throughout the process to answer any questions you may have, while our in-house progression team liaises with the solicitors to answer any enquiries that may arise.

Yes. Mortgage products are available for people over sixty. Your lender or financial adviser can explain which options may suit you.

Yes. A friend or family member can fund the purchase, provided the person moving in is over sixty and can live independently.

No. Pegasus keeps a panel of solicitors used by previous customers, but you are free to choose your own. Pegasus may also contribute towards your legal fees if you use a solicitor from our panel.
